Intorductary Psychology - PSYCH
100
Ah Intro Psych, the most popular course on
almost any college campus. I teach the course
using a combination of Dr. Grigg's textbook
and material supplied by Dr. Russell Dewey at
IntroPsych.com.
In Fall 2011 we will also sample material from
a new textbook my Dr. Okami, which is being
prepared by Oxford University Press.

Elementary Statistics in
Psychology - PSYCH 200
Good old Psych Stats, probably the most
feared course in the psychology curriculum.
Drs. Jaccard and Becker have an expensive
textbook, but I think it is best. You should
take this course as soon as possible; your
fourth semester at the latest.

History and Systems of
Psychology - PSYCH 439
This course will give students a taste
for the history of psychology, while also
making it clear how a historian of
psychology thinks. We will use Dr.
Benjamin's excellent book, class handouts,
and material from Dr. Green's "This
week in the history of psychology."

Advanced Conditioning and
Learning - PSYCH 461
This course will provide an in-depth
seminar in thinking like a radical

Transpersonal Psychology
- PSYCH 497A
497 is the code for "Special Topics"
courses. I have offered Transpersonal
Psychology once, under highly unusual
circumstances, and am not likely to do
so again. However, students should all
know that instructors have the option
to offer unique topical courses. If
you can get together a group of
students interested in a non-standard
topic, we can try to make fun things
happen.
